2025 EPS Hannes Alfvén Prize
The 2025 EPS Hannes Alfvén Prize is awarded to Michel Koenig (LULI, France) for outstanding and continuous contributions to the experimental study of laser-plasma interactions applied in the domain of laboratory astrophysics, of high-energy density physics, and of inertial confinement fusion.

2024 Landau-Spitzer Award
The winners of the 2024 Lev D. Landau and Lyman Spitzer Jr. Award are Anna Grassi (Sorbonne University, France: top left photo below), Frederico Fiuza (Instituto Superior Tecnico, Portugal: top right photo), George F. Swadling (Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, USA: bottom left photo) and Hye-Sook Park (Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, USA: bottom right photo). The team receives the prize “for the critical advancement in the understanding of the particle acceleration physics in astrophysically-relevant shocks through theoretical analysis and experiments at the National Ignition Facility”.
